The design is ideal for those who want to fly for miles with the least possible effort. <\/p>\n<p><iframe class=\"lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sRw7Va97Tok\" title=\"Duotone Stash Parawing 2025\"  width=\"1361\" height=\"766\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The STASH was refined over several months by our wing and kite designer Ken Winner, in close collaboration with our Downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer \u2013 ensuring that it was not just a foil take-off engine, but that it made the goal of free flight accessible to a wider audience.<\/p>\n<p>Using a tear-proof, ultra-light paragliding fabric (30g), which flies faster and stays in the air longer, the Stash folds and packs easier and absorbs gusts better: for this new project our team immediately abandoned classic tear-proof materials for kites and wings. The choice of thinner lines and bridles to reduce drag and weight and to further optimize \u201cpacking\u201d (storage in the backpack) was another key step in our specific design for the Parawing. <\/p>\n<p>The Stash combines the advantages of both worlds, single and double skin, in one design. The overall structure allows for gradual depower with a simple wrist movement, while the tips remain airy and under control at all times. Another coloured mark on the ergonomic carbon bar indicates which side needs to be pushed forward \u2013 all steps to make the goal of free flight more accessible. As soon as the Parawing is packed away, you can enjoy the true feeling of flying, pure and free from any constraints!  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Single skin vs. double skin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The single skin has a higher lift coefficient than the double skin and transmits more power for the same wing size<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The double skin offers greater stability in flight, especially at higher navigation angles<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The single skin folds more compactly and does not require drainage<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The single skin with double skin tip drains much more quickly after a dive, compared to wings completely built in double skin<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Balancing on the board is more difficult without an inflated and stable sail in your hands, so we recommend using a larger board, especially for your first attempts. Pumping the foil will require more leg power, and we recommend using a larger Glide foil, like the one used in SUP Downwind Foiling. One of the big advantages over SUP Downwind Foiling is that you can get airborne with a significantly shorter board, like the Skybrid \u2013 which is the perfect match for the Stash!
